What's new
Rischio, release by release.
What each release brings to the studio and the engine, with its date. The latest also shows on the studio's home.
Follow them by RSSUndo brings back what you had selected
Every undo and redo selects again what was selected at that step, as in Figma, so you see what came back.
Out of date says what changed
Point at Out of date and it lists the elements that changed since the last calculation, the design code too.
Bell's tension crack, on the drawing
With Rankine's active pressure with cohesion, the wall's drawing marks the tension crack's depth z_c on the vertical through the heel, where the pressure starts.
Results says where the earth pressure acts
A wall's thrust acts on the vertical through the heel or on the wall's back, and Results says which. In a check's steps, the method sits beside the value it moves.
Easier to read in the panel and in the dark theme
A value that doesn't count takes its whole row, so its reason reads at once, and the unit hint no longer moves the panel. In the dark theme, your choices read with more contrast.
Results show the method behind each check, and who chose it
Under the verdict and in each check's trace you see the method, whether the data, the code or you chose it, and how close the data are to changing it. Where another method would change a number, Change recalculates with it in one step.
US customary units, in the studio and in the report
Each model reads in SI or US customary units, starting with your account's, and switching changes no number. Any field takes a value with its unit, such as 2500 psf or 6 ft 3 in.
Rankine's active pressure with cohesion, in free mode
A retaining wall can count its backfill's c′ by Bell's equation, tension crack included, when you pick it under Change. A new template, a wall on a clayey sand backfill, offers it. Under AASHTO it isn't offered.
Footings check their sliding in free mode
In free mode a footing checks its sliding, FS = Rτ/H, with the same method as a wall's base, against your limit, with GEC 6's usual 1.5 beside it.
Pile groups check their settlement
A pile group checks its settlement on the equivalent footing against your tolerable value, where its clays consolidate, and each pile takes its Ep from its material.
Channels check their freeboard
A channel checks its freeboard against your limit, and a compound section draws the flow of each of its parts.
Walls show ΣMR/ΣMO beside the eccentricity
Next to each eccentricity check, the ratio of resisting to overturning moments reads as a reference, at the base, at each gabion level and under an earthquake.
⌘K and keyboard shortcuts
One ⌘K finds models, templates, settings and shortcuts. Plus, minus and Shift+0 zoom, the arrow keys move what's selected, and Ctrl Shift ? lists every shortcut.
The canvas follows what you select
Picking an element from the list, an error or an edit brings it into view. Shift+1 frames the whole model and Shift+2 the selection. Undo brings back a deleted element.
Settings save as you change them
An error shows at its field, in the model's units, and leaving the editor no longer loses your last edit.
