Connect your agent
Connect Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code to Rischio through MCP, so your agent builds, changes and calculates your models.
Rischio has an MCP server: the open protocol AI assistants use to work with other software. Connected to it, your own agent lists Rischio’s tools and their templates, creates a model, changes it and calculates it with the same engine as the editor. Everything it does lands in your studio, where you review it, keep editing it and hand in its report.
Before you start
- Agents come with Rischio Professional, its 14-day trial and the Education plan.
- The server’s address is
https://studio.rischio.io/mcp. You’ll also find it, with a button to copy it, in the studio under Settings › Agents.
Connect it
Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop). Add a custom connector with the address.
Claude Code. Add the server, then open /mcp in Claude Code to sign in:
claude mcp add --transport http rischio https://studio.rischio.io/mcp
ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code. Add an MCP server, or a connector, with the address.
The first time, the app sends you to Rischio to sign in and allow it. Rischio asks what the agent will be able to do before you say yes.
What it can and can’t do
- It works on your models: it lists them, reads them and their results, creates new ones, changes them and calculates them.
- It can’t delete a model, and it doesn’t see your account, your plan or your billing.
- What it changes, the studio shows as the agent’s: open a model it’s working on and you’ll see it.
The tools it uses, one by one, are on MCP tools.
One agent at a time
Your account works with one agent at a time, as it does with one browser. Connecting a new one, even the same app on another computer, disconnects the one before. Each person on a team needs their own subscription. To disconnect an agent, open Settings › Agents in the studio.
Limits
An agent’s calculations count with yours: 30 a minute and 500 a day. They’re meant for designing, not for sweeps or Monte Carlo studies; past the limit the agent is told when it can try again.
Try it
Once connected, ask in your own words:
- “Design a 4 m cantilever wall on medium sand, with a 10 kPa surcharge, and calculate it.”
- “Add a water table 2 m below the crest and check it again.”
- “Which of my models fail? Fix the one with the lowest sliding factor of safety.”
