MCP tools
The tools Rischio's MCP server gives an agent: what each one does, what it takes, and whether it only reads or also changes your models.
These are the tools an agent connected to Rischio uses, exactly as the server describes them to it: in English, which is what the agent reads. To connect one, see Connect your agent.
What the server tells every agent first:
Rischio designs retaining walls, footings, piles and open channels. To build a model, call list_tools for the tools and their templates and get_tool_schema for a tool's parameters (SI units), then create_model, from a template or with parameters. calculate_model runs the checks; change the parameters with update_model and calculate again. Calculations are limited per user: don't use them for sweeps or Monte Carlo studies. Models can't be deleted here.
The tools
list_tools
Reads onlyList Rischio's tools
Rischio's design tools (retaining walls, footings, piles and open channels), each with its templates: complete models to start from. Call get_tool_schema for a tool's parameters.
get_tool_schema
Reads onlyGet a tool's parameters
The JSON Schema of a tool's parameters: every field, what it is and its unit (SI: kN, m, kPa, kN/m³, degrees). A model's parameters, in create_model and update_model, follow it.

list_models
Reads onlyList my models
The user's models, newest first: id, name, tool, whether its results pass or fail (null when never calculated), whether they are out of date, and its page in the studio.
get_model
Reads onlyGet a model
A model's parameters and, once calculated, its results: each check with its value, limit and whether it passes, the quantities behind them, and the warnings. With its page and its report in the studio.

create_model
Changes your modelsCreate a model
Creates a model of a tool, from one of its templates (list_tools) or from parameters that follow its schema (get_tool_schema). The engine checks the parameters first; if it rejects them, it says which field and why. The model isn't calculated: calculate_model does it.
- tool*
- "retaining-wall" | "shallow-foundation" | "deep-foundation" | "open-channel"
- name*
- string
- template
- string · A template's filename, from list_tools.
- parameters
- object · The model's parameters, as the tool's schema says.
update_model
Changes your modelsUpdate a model
Renames a model, or replaces its parameters with new ones (all of them, as get_model gives them, with your changes). Give the version get_model gave: if the model changed since (the user may be editing it in the studio), it's refused, and you read it again. The engine checks the parameters first; if it rejects them, it says which field and why. Results calculated before stay, marked out of date, until calculate_model.
- id*
- integer
- version*
- integer · The model's version, as get_model (or the last change) gave it.
- name
- string
- parameters
- object · The model's parameters, all of them.
calculate_model
Changes your modelsCalculate a model
Runs the engine on a model: each check with its value, limit and whether it passes, the quantities behind them, the warnings, and the report's address. Calculations are limited (30 a minute, 500 a day for each user): change what the results point to, then calculate.
